Travel is a passion of mine. For years, I traveled the world flying C-17 Globemaster III cargo jets for the United States Air Force. As a C-17 pilot, I had the opportunity to visit all 7 continents and see many amazing sites (and quite a few that were not so amazing). In 2013, I embarked on the next phase of my Air Force career–staff (or desk) work, and I am taking a few years off from flying the C-17.
However, I knew that I didn’t want to stop traveling just because I was no longer flying myself. I started looking at ways to travel without huge outlays of cash–leading directly to my points and miles addiction. Since I started playing the points and miles game I have amassed over 1 million points/miles and have taken some extraordinary trips that would have never have been possible otherwise. Maximizing the value of my points and miles is my ultimate goal, and I hope to share some of these techniques and success stories with you via this site.
